| 1) Four night family package : for a
family of four or group of four accommodation for four nights in a two bedroom chalet with continental breakfast supplies placed in the chalet dinner on all four nights at the Laughing Oyster Restaurant ( see description below) three days of fun filled activities with knowledgeable and trained guides day one : check in and dinner in the evening day two: breakfast in chalet - continental breakfast supplies provided , Forest Explorer approx 3 -4 hours ( see description below) with guide, interpretation, games and a tasty treat. Dinner in the evening day three : breakfast in chalet - continental breakfast supplies provided, Marine Park Islands Explorer approx 7 hours ( see description below) with guide, interpretation, zodiac boat, on shore lunch and any related equipment. Dinner in the evening day four : breakfast in chalet - continental breakfast supplies provided, Savary Island day approx 6 hours ( see description below) with guide, water taxi, interpretation, games and beach picnic lunch. | Activities:
the following activities are part of the
package: Forest Explorer: On foot we will explore the coastal rainforest near the Resort, and use all 5 senses to connect with the plant and animal life we discover there. The tasting part comes in when after gathering summer berries, we return to the Resort to indulge in something special! Departing from and returning to Desolation Resort. Includes guide, interpretation, games & a tasty treat! 9 – 12:30 or 1:30 – 5:00
Marine Park Islands of the Salish Sea: An exciting day that begins with a zodiac boat trip out to Mitlenatch Island Provincial Park, a place that is known for its wildlife from nesting sea birds to sea mammals. Called the Galapaogs of the Georgia Strait it also has stunning wildflower blooms in May and early June . We then continue on to visit the scenic Desolation Sound and for lunch are dropped off in the Copeland Islands Marine Park, where we will spend the afternoon swimming, exploring the island and its intertidal life with masks & snorkels. Departing & returning to Lund. Includes guide, interpretation, zodiac boat, on shore lunch and any related equipment. 9:30 am – 4:30 pm.
Savary Island: Sun, Sand and Shells: Departing from Lund, our day begins with a short trip by water taxi to the government dock on Savary. From there, we will walk to gorgeous sandy beaches, where games, exploration and a delicious picnic lunch await. This unique island boast rare sand dune ecology, an interesting history and fabulous Departing and returning to Lund. Includes guide, water taxi, interpretation, games and beach picnic lunch. 9:30 am – 3:30 pm.
